Separate

Separate
Separate
What they see
From your true headspace
'cause real life's not a weak man's game
Separate
Separate
What you mean
From all the words you say
You can't help it when you're put in that place
Where all the things that you believe seem bound to break
And the ones you love can't even say it to their face
Stuck in the middle of the wars we wage
Celebrate
Celebrate
When you've made through a brand new day
'cause life's too beautiful to live in the fray
Celebrate
Celebrate
A minute saved
Not forced to mediate
'cause you can't change what you can't explain
With voices coming out for me from every side
I'm forced to stop this tide
A family crumbling
Crevices growing wide
Separate
Separate
What they see
From your true headspace
'cause real life's not a weak man's game
Separate
Separate
What you mean
From all the words you say
You can't help it when you're put in that place
Stuck in the middle

Roam The World
03:52
|
|||
You were meant to save my life
But even if I die I'll roam the world with you
I'm your shade, you'll be my shine
And even if I die I'll roam the world with you
But I'm still left running away
'cause getting what I want feels like I'm where I shouldn't be
So I can't stop running away
But even if I die I know I'm home with you
Even if I die I'll roam the world with you
My desperate lungs breathe in new life
And I'm seeing all I've heard but never seen
My battered mind's bare of bygone nights
It's free to fill with all that's spry and new
Now even if I die I'll roam the world with you

Again
04:49
|
|||
I feel it coming
’cause I know it always ends up like this
I heed the running
Here I am laughing, insane
Is this really really happening again?
Is this really really happening?
I’ve sent my love to the gallows how many times?
Is this really really happening again?
It’s building up
Yeah it’s building up again
Excitement and plans
Too soon too soon I’m afraid
Never wanted permanence
Just a day like any
‘cause everyone’s the same
It’s all in the same game
Your past never leaves you

Looking Back
04:00
|
|||
I saw a picture today
I think you were in it
But it's been so long
It felt like the beginning
We were young
And hadn't flown away
I tried to call you today
To see how you're doing
But now the pauses get longer
The more that we're moving
It's so hard
Feeling foundations decay
I'd like to say we've just lost our way but it might be more than that
I don't know who you are anymore so I'll just look back
When we used to check in
Before we were aging
I knew what you were thinking
You'd finish what I was saying
But no more
When did it all go astray?
Said we'd never be like them
What we had was much different
But what a cliche we are now
So unintentionally distant
Shouldn't have ended up like this
But just know that I miss it
So much
I'd like to think that we're still high
And we've just lost the buzz
And if we all moved back home
It could be just like it was
But no matter how we try
Things can never be the same again
Now I hear that you're married
I hear you've got a few kids
And you've even got a house like the one we grew up in
I'm so lost
But look at all that we became

Waiting For The Sun
03:15
|
|||
People always get by
Even if the path they're walking
Is what's laid out in the sky
Messages interpreted
We can think we're directed one way
Then find out it wasn't meant
I'll take a day trip to my past life
Looking for answers
'cause I want to see
When I started living life in moments, not memories
Love and stability
Is what I've been waiting on
And it comes with the weather
Which I'll never understand
Waiting for the sun is a waste of time
'cause today's heroics are tomorrow's crimes
Afraid to see the writing on the walls we've made
'cause its not home if I hadn't wished I'd stayed
Waiting for the sun is a waste of time
'cause today's truth's lost in tomorrow's lies
Lost at sea
We only think about the past because its easy
The world thinks I'm ready
